AMP: 4 x higher Impact Factor in 3 years

For the third consecutive year Acta Médica Portuguesa has shown a significant increase in its Impact Factor which in 2014 reached 0.360 – the maximum value in 35 years of scientific publication.

The figures reported by Thomson Reuters/ Journal Citation Reports® on the 19th of June 2015 correspond to the number of quotes assigned, till the end of 2014, to the manuscripts published in the Acta Médica Portuguesa over 2013 and 2014. That number is divided by the number of articles published over the same years (see the chart with AMP's Impact Factor progress since 2011).

The scientific journal of the Ordem dos Médicos aims to promote state of the art knowledge through manuscripts of scientific quality and to defend ethics and respect for human dignity, within a context of editorial independence and impartiality.

We should mention that since 2011 Acta Médica Portuguesa took up a profound upgrade in the editorial process under the current Editor-in-Chief's mandate (Rui Tato Marinho).
