Otogenic cerebellar abscess. Diagnosis and therapy.

Os abcessos cerebelosos mesmo correctamente diagnosticados e tratados são situações graves, com mortalidade global elevada. De origem quase exclusivamente otogénea, a sua solução adequada exige a extirpação do foco primitivo através da mastoidectomia radical e a erradicação do foco secundário obtida com a remoção capsular. E comentado o diagnóstico e tratamento destes casos apos revisão de uma serie de 9 processos de doentes e de um caso pessoal em que houve oportunidade de estabelecer um diagnóstico Correcto e a solução cirúrgica definitiva.
