Abstract

We report a case of a 25-year-old women admitted to the emergency room of Santa Maria Hospital with pancytopenia and fever. We describe the diagnostic work-up, laboratory findings, therapy, outcome and follow-up after discharge Lastly, we discuss aplastic anemia as a rare systemic lupus erythematosus complication, with only ten cases reported to date.
