A sporadic case of legionnaire's disease in Oporto.

Descreve-se um caso de Doença dos Legionários ocorrido no Porto, num homem de 50 anos que apresentava pneumonia multifocal bilateral e sinais de doença sistémica que forneceram a pista para o diagnóstico. A evolução clínica foi relativamente benigna. Embora esporádico, este e outros casos descritos, permitem alertar para a real existência da doença no nosso país e para a necessidade de uma investigação sistemática com vista a determinação da sua prevalência e implementação de medidas adequadas.
