Urinary excretion of catecholamines and their metabolites in labile arterial hypertension.

Foi feito um estudo prévio da excreção urinária de catecolaminas e seus metabolitos em indivíduos normais, hipertensos labeis e estabelecidos. Não houve diferenças significativas entre os diversos grupos. Em dois indivíduos com hipertensão lábil foram feitos doseamentos antes e depois da terapêutica com bloqueantes beta. Houve descida, após a terapêutica, dos valores de noradrenalina e ácido homovanílico e subida dos valores de dopamina.
