Monoaminoxidase in diabetes.

Foi feito um estudo da monoaminoxidase do soro (MAO-s) de indivíduos normais, de dadores de sangue, de um grupo de diabéticos com menos de 2 anos de evolução da doença e de um grupo de diabéticos com mais de 10 anos de evolução. Não há diferença significativa entre normais e dadores de sangue. Porém ambos os grupos de diabéticos diferem significativamente do grupo normal e também entre si. Nos diabéticos com mais de 10 anos há uma correlação positiva, estatisticamente significativa entre a actividade da MAO-s e a glicémia.
