Immunology of dental caries.

Dental carie is the most common infectious disease in humans. In the past decades, it has been described as a multifactorial condition, where diet and the immune response are main factors for the establishment of the disease. The authors approach the formation of the bacterian biofilm, the host's immune response, according to its maturation and deficiencies, and the current research to find a preventive intervention for this disease.Downloads
