Acute infantile bilateral striatal necrosis.

This paper describes the clinical case of a nine year old child clinical features of tetraparesis and acute encephalopathy after an infectious disease. The brain magnetic resonance imaging was compatible with a symmetrical bilateral necrosis of the brain nucleus which, associated with the clinical evolution, led to the diagnosis of acute bilateral infant striatal necrosis.Downloads
