Apresenta-se a experiência colhida ao longo do tratamento de 350 intoxicações agudas por compostos organofosforatos internados na Unidade de Cuidados Intensivos Polivalentes dos H.U.C. desde 1968. A propósito são feitas considerações e relatada investigação levada a cabo no ambito da epidemiologia, fisiopatologia, clínica e terapêutica.
