La Laparoscopia (L) tenida como una de ias técnicas clásicas invasivas de indudable valor en el diagnóstico de ias ictericias prolongadas de difícil diagnóstico, con protagonismo indiscutible en las décadas anteriores, ha visto disminuir su primacía con la aparición de ias nuevas técnicas no invasivas (T.A.C. y U.S.) que pueden orientar el planteamiento diagnóstico del carácter obstructivo intra e extrahepático de una colostasis en gran parte de casos, de reciente introducción en nuestros ámbitos, pero de elevado coste económicos.
