Assistiremos nos próximos tempos a uma crescente participação dos doentes no pagamento dos cuidados de que carecem. A afirmação dos mais altos responsáveis pela política de saúde de que quem quer cuidados de saúde terá de os pagar, a recente actualização das taxas moderadoras dos Serviços Médico-sociais e o impulso que se quer dar à medicina convencionada são acontecimentos que reforçam o nosso julgamento. Compreendemos a difícil situação económica do Pais, os apelos dos responsáveis à contenção dos gastos e aumento das receitas.
